ABOUT US - Our Farm
Creekside Farm is a small hobby farm in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec; home to 2 humans, several Border Collies, a small flock of Border Cheviot sheep (and crosses), a dozen and a half free range laying hens, and (seasonally) several pigs, turkeys and a few dozen chickens.
We (very) occasionally have CBCA Registered Border Collie puppies available to qualified working, performance or active companion homes. All puppies are from working, health tested parents. Our dogs are raw fed (NRC balanced) and puppies are weaned to raw (NRC balanced for each life stage). We follow a veterinarian-guided, minimal vaccination schedule. Our breeding program focuses on natural working talent, biddability, temperament and health.
Our main activity is sheepdog training and trialing, but a few of our dogs also train and compete in agility. Creekside Fen (now retired) was the first dual-sport dog at Creekside, followed by Gem and meG. Bean is currently learning her foundations at an unhurried pace.
We also believe in cross training and the power of a strong relationship with our dogs, so they live as companions rather than kennel dogs. All our dogs live indoors with us and enjoy lots of "non-working" activity as well, such as hiking, trail running, kayaking, swimming and playing games.
