We said goodbye to our dear Pat, who passed away in the truck returning from the MA Sheep and Wool SDT in May, 2013. She had a peaceful last couple of hours, and left for the bridge with my hand on her head, only 1 hour from home. She is buried on the hillside with Kap and Jess overlooking the swimming hole and the sheep pastures.
Pat was purchased as a 2 year old untrialed Pro-Novice dog. She was imported from Wales in 2000 at 1 year of age and went through a few homes before coming to me. Pat was the perfect dog to take me to the next level - well trained, biddable and responsive. She had a sweet temperament and was a keen, stylish worker and could take pressure without a meltdown. In her early retirement, she found a niche as a pro on the Points Trial circuit, where her precision and style were both sheep and crowd pleasers! Even well into her senior years, she was first to the pen gate, ready to work.
Pat gave us some lovely puppies - with great temperaments and versatile talent.
