ANNOUNCING...CREEKSIDE CAMP...JULY 13-15, 2009....CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!

Creekside Farm is a small hobby farm in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec; home to 2 humans, 7 Border Collies, a small flock of Border Cheviot sheep and 2 cats "Ricky" and "Woody" (shown below).

Ricky (Left) and Woody.

Left: Creekside Kap working the yearling lambs.
We raise lamb for your freezer, but you'll have to order early, we have a waiting list!  Some of the comments we have received about our freezer lamb: "Melts in your mouth". "The meat is in all the right places...Not greasy, like commercial lamb meat."

Above: Flock grazing at Creekside
Our sheep are a (mostly) purebred flock of Border Cheviots, known for their small size, hardiness and of course their cute faces!  Border Cheviots are generally not raised in this continent as they are considered too small to be really good meat producers, the lambs are slow to mature and they lamb at about the 1.5 rate.  Since our flock is not a commercial flock, we don't mind all these "negatives"!  As long as we are breaking even!

We (very) occasionally have CBCA Registered Border Collie puppies available to qualified working, performance or active companion homes.  All puppies are from working, OFA & CERF certified parents.  We also DNA test for CEA/CH.  Creekside puppies are sold on contract with a comprehensive written health guarantee.  Our breeding program focuses on temperament, health, drive, working talent and trainability.

Do you qualify? If you have experience with Border Collies or with another active breed; are an active competitor in agility, herding or other dogsport; are an extremely active/outdoorsy person and / or live on a working farm and can provide your puppy with at least 1.5 to 2 hours of exercise daily, training, comfortable living quarters and your undying devotion, you may qualify for a  Creekside puppy!  We are VERY particular about choosing prospective homes and we will ask you a LOT of questions, and will ask for references!  We hope you ask us  too!  Click HERE to see past and future litters.
Our dogs are worked on sheep, or they do agility, but not full time!  My darn day job... It really interferes with training time!  So, while our dogs enjoy training and competition, they are first and foremost our active companions.   In addition to my real life job, I am also a CBCA Director, edited the quarterly newsletter NEBCA News for the Northeast Border Collie Association for the past 6 years and am the webmaster for White Mountain Agility and Bluedream Shetland Sheepdogs (coming soon!)
